2026, AFTER TWO DECADES APPROX., I ADD THE LATEST PHOTOS OF THE
FACILITY. YES, WE HAVE DEVELOPED.
Tucked away in the beach area of Nayarambalam Puthen Kadappuram, the old Primary Health Centre (PHC) building once stood as a modest facility from a time long gone. Back then, the PHC functioned with very limited resources, and the level of care available to the community was far from what people needed.
Over the years, things changed dramatically. The centre has now been upgraded and even renamed—today, it is the Family Health Centre (FHC). With this transformation came new infrastructure and expanded services, including modern laboratory support and a UHID-based booking system. Patients can now pre-book appointments, making the experience smoother and more organized—often even more convenient than visits to larger multi-specialty hospitals. The computerized token system further helps reduce long waiting times and unnecessary crowding inside the facility.
Even with the new building fully in place, you can still see remnants of the earlier structure on the rear side—small traces of the centre’s history. And just like the facility itself has evolved, the number of patients it serves has also increased significantly compared to the past.
Regular vaccination programmes are also carried out through a few sub-centres under the FHC network across the Nayarambalam panchayat, ensuring that essential healthcare continues to reach people not only at the main centre, but in surrounding areas as well.
